Recognition: GMC


All medical schools that we are currently sending student to are listed in the World Directory of Medical School by the World Health Organisation.

Individual students are advised to check with their own Medical or Dental Council/Authority to confirm the status of Charles University (also known as Univerzita Karlova), St. Matthew's University and the Medical University of Gdansk.

In Britain, the relevant authorities concerning international recognition of Medical and Dental courses are the General Medical Council (GMC) and the General Dental Council (GDC) respectively and their contact details can be found on the FAQ’s page.

Currently there are hundreds of British, European and American students on our Medical Degree Programmes in the Czech Republic. They are soon to join the many Doctors that have already graduated from Charles University and are now practicing at various hospitals in the UK, USA, Canada and Europe.

All Medical/Dental Schools of Charles University in the Czech Republic, regardless of its location, annual tuition fee or length in course, carry equal standards in quality of teaching and recognition.
