The Medical University of the Americas was established in 1998, to provide a comprehensive four-year program leading to the Doctor of Medicine (M.D) degree.
The low ratio of student:faculty, allows for maximum interaction between students and professors.
Over the 4 year degree, students will be taught in English. The first two years are based at MUA, however students have the valuable opportunity to study the 2 clinical training years at top hospitals in the USA, Canada, Europe and the West Indies.
The Basic Science campus students will be studying at, is located on 10 acres of land generously provided by the Government of St. Christopher-Nevis. The campus is situated on the eastern side of Nevis, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
The 4-year programme is exclusively designed for selected graduates (with a B.Sc.) of a scientific/medical science degree course. Undergraduates must complete the 1 year M&D Pre-Med Programme at the University of Sussex in Brighton, England.
