For September 2008 we are securing places at the Faculty of Medicine for both General Medicine and Dentistry.
  • A six-year intensive program consisting of pre-clinical and clinical studies.
  • The last sixth year, is a rotation in University Teaching Hospitals and concludes with final examinations.

The city of Bratislava is beautifully located on the Danube River, where Slovak border meets both Austria and Hungary (therefore an excellent location for connecting flights from Vienna and Budapest). Bratislava is well serviced with numerous daily direct flights from London Luton and Stansted airports.

The city itself has been the capital of the newly formed Slovak Republic since January 1st, 1993. As the newest European capital, it has become one of the most attractive destinations. It is an important industrial, educational and cultural centre. The historic town has a charming atmosphere with many things to see and do.

Comenius University named after the famous pedagogue and philosopher, Jan Amos Comenius so-called "teacher of nations", is dated way back to the 15th century. Originally baptised as Academia Istropolitana, the university has been a long standing institution of the intellectual life and multi-cultural centre.

The Faculty of Medicine seeks to educate graduate students to high intellectual level and competence in the fine art of medicine. Although widely recognised, students are advised to check with their own Medical or Dental Council/Authority to confirm the status of Comenius University.
