M&D Pre-Med and St, Matthew’s University
For application to M & D Pre-Med, SMU (4-year Programme) applicants must submit full details of their academic background as requested. Decisions for these courses will be made on the basis of past academic achievements, references and predicted grades followed by a possible interview.
Successful applicants may then receive an offer of a place on condition of meeting certain academic grades or marks on course(s) currently being taken. If an applicant has satisfactorily attained the required academic grades then unconditional offers may be made.
In certain cases and at the discretion of the assessment board, where the exact academic background of an applicant cannot be verified, an entrance test may be set.
Charles University (Medicine or Dentistry)
For admission to Charles University, applicants must have completed secondary school education to cover A-level (or equivalent) in at least 2 subjects from Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics.
All selected applicants must pass a 2 hour 30 minute multiple-choice/short answer examination paper.
Entrance examinations are usually held in April/May in London.
Our next entrance examination for 2009 entry will take place in London and as there are a limited number of applicants that we can consider, applicants are advised to apply early.
The board of admissions is well aware that applicants may not be well prepared for an examination due to illness or lack of preparation time. All applicants are considered in detail on an individual basis.
